The Hunter and the Heart Content and Trigger Warnings:

As always, this list is extensive, but most on the list are not in their extreme forms. They are solely listed to inform the reader that the mention is in the book so the reader can make an accurate decision in proceeding. I always want my readers to have an enjoyable experience, which will always mean putting your mental health first.

You’ll see two listed that I feel bear an explanation so that you may decide if you would like to proceed. These explanations are brief and do not contain major spoilers:

1.) The character Alina was abandoned as a child. She goes into brief but explicit detail about how she went hungry and experienced homelessness as a result. This description will take place throughout her chapters as it is a primary source of her character development but is most excessive in Chapter 12. In this same chapter, there is mention of resources being withheld and monitored while in her group home.”

2.) The character Kiara hears but does not see a mother in labor, and given the complications of the times and technology set in this world, the mother and child do not survive. This leads her into a memory of another birth, in which the laboring mother witnesses the death of a loved one. Again, I assure you these events are not gratuitous and very much have to do with her character arc. These events take place on pages (248-255).
